This historic hamlet with vineyard and olive grove is within the boundaries of Chianti Classico and not far from Greve in Chianti and Florence airport.
The origins of the villa, chapel and outbuildings go back to the 10th century. The property underwent a major renovation around the 1800s, creating a manor house with adjacent cellars, and stables for agricultural activities. In 2003 the current owners start to expand and modernize the villa and converts the cellars / stables / farmhouses into apartments for holiday rentals.
Today the complex consists of a villa (10/12 people) with private garden and swimming pool (4x8 m), 6 apartments of about 120 sqm each for 4-6 people who have access to a second garden with swimming pool (8x15 m) and barbecue area, a large farmhouse to restore with the caretaker’s apartment, church and stables and four barns to restore.
Currently there are totally 20 bedrooms with the possibility to create 9 further bedrooms, 2 in the villa, 4 in the farmhouse and 1 in each of the 3 barns. Alternatively, the barns could be converted into a small spa area or restaurant as well.
The estate is surrounded by 56 ha of land of which 6 ha vineyard (3 ha certified as Chianti Classico DOCG and 3 ha IGT, varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay), 6 ha olive grove (about 800/1000 trees), 3 ha arable land (potential to plant more vines), 6 ha of chestnut wood (about 30 secular sweet chestnut trees) and 35 ha of wood. The vineyard is currently managed by a farm in the area, the annual production is around 30.000 / 32.000 bottles. At the moment there is no cellar for the vinification but it is possible to request a permission to build an agricultural building for this purpose in proportion to the size of the activity.
